Our Clinical Staff


		Charles C. Rivera Lead Dental Assistant I feel fortunate to be pursuing my career as a dental assistant in a place where I can learn the best techniques and participate in state-of-the art care. I've been a dental assistant for six years, and have learned to anticipate the doctors' every need during a procedure so things run smoothly. Patients relax when they see that there are no hesitations and all instruments and materials are properly prepared. They see that we work as a team and they know they are getting excellent care. I think building trust and ease has two parts: performing well and creating a supportive, friendly atmosphere around the patient.


		Shatima Brown Dental Assistant I think we're able to help people achieve a healthier mouth. Because we are kind and thoughtful during procedures, we make the experience positive. It's exciting to see patients who come in tentatively and leave eager to make their next appointment. When we are able to treat someone who has neglected dental care for some time, because of fear, monetary reasons, or other issues, it is rewarding to see them with restored gums, sound teeth, an improved bite and a beautiful smile. I have a particularly vivid memory of a woman who told us that she is still learning to use the new smile we gave her after 50 years of not smiling, because she was ashamed of her teeth.


		Martha Arias Registered Dental Hygienist I have been a hygienist for 16 years and with Drs. Krochak and Perlman's practice for nine years. It's a perfect place for me because it fits my style --being professional, caring and warm. I think all of us on the team are focused on giving the best care in a calm atmosphere, and I feel I've done my part when clients follow my recommendations and compliment me on my "gentle touch." I've been lucky enough to have experience with all age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics, and in the end, they all want the same thing--trust in their hygienist and reassurance.
